In 2020, a remarkable journey began when I, Timothy Konrad, immigrated to Cyprus. The new life in a new country brought an unexpected encounter – street cats. Cats gathered outside my house, meowing and begging for food. Faced with their predicament I couldn’t help but lend a hand. What started with a single cat quickly grew to two, three, and eventually over thirty cats. With the arrival of the cold winter, I opened my doors and provided the cats with a warm home. They became part of my daily routine, my joy, and my life. When the two-year lease ended, I was faced with a difficult decision. These cats, whom I had grown fond of, couldn’t move to the next house with me. Therefore, we decided to acquire a piece of land of almost 7000 square meters. We built a small house where our helpers now live, caring lovingly for the cats. From this decision, the idea to rescue more stray cats in need emerged. Today, -better life for cats- represents this mission: to save cats from the streets of Cyprus and provide them with a safe and loving home. Each rescued cat is a testament to our work and a motivation to do even more. We invite you to join us on this fulfilling journey and together make a difference in the lives of these cats.

Dominic
Dominic is the driving force behind the management and administrative operations of our catshelter. He expertly handles office tasks, establishes crucial contacts, and seeks out sponsors to support our mission. With a strong focus on public relations, he promotes our shelter and its activities with dedication.
In addition to his administrative role, Dominic is deeply involved in the care of our dogs, ensuring they receive the attention and love they deserve. He collaborates with Lars to build wooden cat houses, plants trees, and helps design and maintain the property. Dominic is also responsible for sourcing high-quality food for both our cats and dogs. As a visionary and co-founder of the cat farm, his passion and commitment play a key role in shaping the future of our shelter.
Lars is the creative force behind many of the structures and landscapes on our property. With a deep understanding of woodworking and craftsmanship, he builds beautiful and functional cat houses, garden features like wooden walkways, and even maintains our workshop. His work is always done with love, creativity, and technical expertise.
Beyond woodworking, Lars is also responsible for landscaping tasks, designing and maintaining gardens, planting trees, and enhancing the natural beauty of our farm. His skillset covers nearly every aspect of craftsmanship, making him an invaluable part of our team. Whether it's a new project or maintaining the property, Lars's hands-on approach ensures everything is built to last.
